My 2012 Wakestock Experience!

Aloha!
This is going to be about my wakestock experience!  For those of you who don't know, Wakestock is a music festival in Cardigan Bay, North Wales which is usually held around the 6th, 7th and 8th July! Although this year it's being held a week or so later.
Tickets are going on sale again, so I thought it was about time I did a review-type-thing of what my experience of it was last year!
In the schools around my area, its kind of a tradition to go the Summer you have left school.

There was only around 7 of us in our little group going, but we knew loads of other people from other groups going too.
So obviously, I will start from the beginning!
The first night, well, it was interesting. Interesting to say the least. Alot of weird things happened, which I won't go into now, because I don't want to bore you, but it wasn't the best night!
Then at around 5am was awakened by Azalea being sick in my handbag because she drank too much.  So that was nice and as I'm sure you can imagine, I was really impressed with her.

Unfortunately for us, mother nature decided she wasn't going to play ball, so it rained, alot.
Infact, it rained this much:

Now, I'm sure you can imagine how this much rain, a very large field and lots of tents wouldn't mix together very well.  I don't even want to remember that morning waking up and hearing Bebee say "Have I pissed myself, or has the tent flooded?" Whatever the answer to that question was, it wasn't going to be very nice, was it!
Anyway, after much debate we decided to abandon our tents, drag our ridiculously over-packed, ten tonne bags through miles of shin-deep mud to our dear old Olivia's caravan a few fields away. Here is that morning in pictures:

Me and Azalea for some unbeknownst reason decided to swap coats, it was absolutely freezing cold and pouring with rain, we just tried to grab as much stuff as we could and get to the caravan.

This was the day after when we went back to see our tent, this is how we found it... and yes, that is mud on the INSIDE. You get the picture now ahaha
This was the mud! So horrible!
This is Olivia, Azalea and me, just as we got in the caravan, we were all absolutely soaking, look at the drops of water on the lens, just shows how wet it was!  The journey from the wakestock campsite to Olivia's Campsite was awfull! The mud was so deep and we had so much stuff to carry through it!  Honestly one of the worst experiences ever and I will never forget it!
This was me trying to get some organisation going on, that jumper (and all the rest of my clothes) were completely wet through and covered in mud.  We ended up spending £25.00 between us getting all our things washed and dried so we had stuff to wear!
*****
So after we sorted ourselves following the major drama of that morning, we had showers and everything and got ready for the evening!
Bebee and me, getting ready to leave the caravan
This one of my favourite pictures ever! Olivia, me, Azalea and Bebee!
Think its the only one of all 4 of us together!
*****
I'm not really going into detail about the music, because to be honest the music last year just wasn't that good! "But it's a music festival!" I hear you say.  I know, I know, but we obviously knew the line up before we bought tickets etc, and we just wanted to go for the experience.
Here is a picture of inside the tent when Rizzle Kicks were playing.
Can't see much but you get the general idea: Horrible, sweaty, drunk people, pushing and shoving, and alot of noise!
This was the same night and was the main group we went with.  Although it was just me, Bebee, Azalea and Olivia who stayed in the caravan, the others tent luckily survived!
In the day time all we did was stay in and take all day getting ready for the night.  At the time we thought it was fine but now we all regret not making the most of the day time! We really missed out!
This was the last night, after Olivia went home, we were back in a tent (A different one!) We didn't have any sleeping bags because the ones we brought got ruined in tent No.1 so we were going to have to do with just 2 thin blankets.  It was freezing cold and Bebee was poorly and kept being sick (Most notably on my hand and in my hair - NICE) and it was all just abit of a nightmare.  So me and Azalea rang my dad pretending to cry, and he and my mum drove all the way from Manchester to Wales to pick us up and take us all back home. What are parents for ey!?
Overall my Wakestock experience was very mixed!  At the time it wasn't so fun, if it hadn't of rained I know I we would have had a miles better time! When I got back home I actually really did miss it, and we made some amazing memories that I will never forget!
There are definitely some tips I will give you in a seperate post about festivals and what I would have done differently!
This year we aren't going back to Wakestock, 1) because we've already done it and had the experience. 2) Because they lowered the age limit to just 12 which is a little weird! and 3) Because we're planning on going to other festivals!
My Festival Tips post will be up closer to festival season so it's more relevant to the time, but I hope this helped if you are thinking of buying Wakestock/any other festival tickets this year!
All my love!

New Years Tag!

Hello everybody!
I hope you all had lovely Christmases!
Me and the Sainsbury's mandem have all been smashing the Christmas overtime schedules over the festive period which is why I've been absent from my lovely bloggy! I worked every single day, that means Christmas Eve and Boxing day too!
I went back to college on Monday and everything's been super crazy, its only today I've actually sat down and logged onto my laptop! So here I am! Sat in bed, in my onesie all snuffly and clogged up:(
So I thought I'd do a nice, easy tag to get back into the swing of things!

Sophie, Bebee, Azalea and Me!
1. What do you plan to do for New Years Eve?
Obviously, I'm doing this late... BUT I did go to a party, and a very nice one too!
We didn't actually have any plans until about 6 o'clock New Years Eve, but someone finally stepped up and took one for the team and agreed to have people round!  Me, Bebee, Azalea, Sophie, Amelia and Anna went together and it was a really nice night.  Bebee definitely set her New Year off with a, ehem, bang.

2. Do you have any New Years traditions?
Not really, I suppose it's nice to do the countdown but thats about it!

3. Is there anything you love/hate about New Years family get togethers?

We don't really have 'Family get togethers' My dad owns a taxi company and New Years Eve is always the busiest night of the year for him so he's always working, and my mum is usually at the office helping him out answering the phones!

4. What was your resolution for the past year? Did you complete it?
My 2012 resolution was to not have a fizzy drink all year round.  To my, and to everyone around me surprise, I did it!!! I was super proud of myself because it really was hard!  It doesn't sound like it but it was!  You try finding a drinkable non-fizzy alcoholic drink! That really was the most difficult thing because I cant drink wine without lemonaid, and I can't drink vodka on its own! So I usually ended up with straight wine or vodka with random fruit juice!

5. What is your resolution for the upcoming year?
I have really struggled to find one this year, I wanted to have something to stick to like I did last year but I still haven't thought of one!
I think I'll go with trying to drink 1 pint of water everyday, which I know still isn't the amount you're meant to have but I know I wont manage any more than that!  I also want to cut down on meat, red meat in particular and cows milk.

6. What was your favourite thing that happened in 2012?
So much great stuff happened last year!
My last year of school, getting my GCSE's and prom were all amazing!  My 16th birthday party was also a highlight!  Going to see my baby Cheryl Cole at the MEN Arena is something that particularly sticks out for me, it was just amazing! Then finally it would be getting my job at Sainsbury's! I hate going to work, its so tiring and boring, but the other people who work there make it worth every second!  We have wheelchair races down the isles, and we play hide and seek over the whole shop and hide in the shelves!  Living the dream!

7. What are you most excited for in 2013?
I don't know what's around the corner for me, its scary not knowing what could happen next!  I might not be in college, I could be doing anything!  Last year taught me that things change fast, and people just have to change with them, we don't really have a choice! Scary but true!
Also, hopefully me and the girls should be going on holiday together! Yay! I have a villa in Spain and it would be so lovely! Not sure if it's happening yet, we'll know nearer the time I suppose but I really hope we do end up going because it would be so much fun!

8. What are three things you'd like to accomplish in the next year?
I'd like to accomplish my New years resolutions.
I'm not too sure how I feel about college at the moment, I hate it.  I really really hate it, I dread going each morning and it's starting to get me down.  I know that I need my A-Levels to get far in life, I can't sit at a till forever, but if I hate it as much as I do, surely this just isn't right for me! I'm not going through the best time with it at the moment, and I don't know what I want so hopefully by the end of 2013 I will be more settled in whatever ends up happening.
Went abit deep at the end there, sorry!
I'm excited for the start of 2013 and I wish you all a very happy New Year!

What We Did For Halloween!

Hi guys!
So this is going to be a picture post about what we did for halloween! I dressed up as a nurse, Olivia was a police lady, Azalea was bat woman, and Bebee and Sophie were hotdogs!
Everyone came to mine to get ready, because I'm the one with all the makeup!
 Few from on the train!
In the middle of Manchester in the rain!
Me and Azalea!
Me and Bebee!
 Me and Sophie!
Sophie thought it would be a good idea to try and put multiple layers of my clothing on when we got home, never seen my wardrobe so messy!
Last one! Me and Azalea being gorgeous, definitely model material, yes?

So there you go! Sorry they weren't the best pictures, but we had a nice night!  Hope you all had nice Halloweens too!  Now we can all get excited for Christmas! Yay! Bye guys

Little Announcement!

Hi guys!
I have an exciting announcement!  I have just posted my first proper vlog onto Youtube!  It isn't beauty related, just a follow me around type of thing.  It was a day out in Blackpool!  It's quite a big thing for me, just having my actual face out there, and me speaking at a camera!
I would be delighted if you went and had a little look, maybe one day it could turn into me making video's about life and beauty more regularly and having my blog too!
We'll see!
Here it is!

What Inspires Me?

Hi Guys!
I've wanted to do a post like this for quite a while now, its about what inspires me.
I've been thinking about it for months, about what shapes the way I think, the things I wear, the kind of makeup I do, and what I like; it turns out there's quite alot of things that inspire me, so here I am, writing about it!

Friends
My friends inspire me an awful lot, they give me new idea's and they've made me think very differently about lots of different things.
None of us are really that similar, infact we all dress completely differently!
There's Azalea, the grungey one who is so beautiful with the biggest features,  she could pull any look off without even trying.
Then there's Bebee, her style is really hard to explain. I asked her what she would call it and she said 'I don't really believe in style, you dress how you want to dress, if you like something, you like it.' and this is one of the main reasons my friends inspire me so much, because what she said is SO completely true! and I'd never even thought about it that way before! She likes vintage type things, sometimes she can come out looking classic and girly, other times slightly grungey, but she never goes too far either side. Again she can pull almost anything off, and she always looks fantastic!
Then there's Olivia, she likes bright colours, neons, she admits its 'abit tacky' but its what she likes and she works with it! It always amazes me how classic she still manages to look, even with the bright colours and crazy prints!
Then there's me, I don't know if its just because I'm describing myself here, but even the girls say, I dress completely 'normal' so i guess I'm just the boring one!
Olivia, Me, Azalea and Bebee!

Youtubers and Bloggers!
This is another big one! I watch youtube video's and read blogs everyday, so they're bound to have an affect on the way I look at things and the things I like and buy.  I love seeing what people have bought and the things that are on sale in shops, so I love watching haul video's!  I also like seeing how people style certain things, Sam from BeautyCrush is usually good at that with her 'How I Style:' video's.
Jess from JDRmakeup also inspired me with the way she dresses, sound silly but I wear necklaces after watching her! I don't know why but I just never even thought to wear a necklace, and she has one she always wears!
I love Anna and Jonathan from LefloofTV and thestylediet, I've watched their daily lives for over 2 years, and they made me realise what I want for my future!
I love Louise from SprinkleOfGlitter, she's made me realize its okay not to be stick thin, and she's made me feel more comfortable about my body! She's also made me appreciate my family even more than I already did!

Media
For me this title includes quite a few different things: magazines, TV, celebrities and models mainly.  I love flicking through magazines on lazy days, and just having them around! I know I wont be able to buy anything from Vogue, Elle or Marie Clare but I love looking at the gorgeous models and expensive clothes and thinking, 'ahh, maybe one day!' When I'm feeling a little less optimistic I like company magazine, thats my favorite and I recommend you go and check it out!
There are so many models who inspire me, I love Cara and Poppy Delevingne, they are both so gorgeous and look so much fun, I can imagine being friends with them! And who have you ever seen still look amazing in a hotdog costume?
Then there's Kate Moss, she always looks so beautiful, and I respect her so much for keeping her private life private.
I love Brigitte Bardot, she was a model from the 50's and her life story is truly amazing to me, and she's still beautiful today, even though she's nearly 80! She has this gorgeous long grey hair!

Brigitte Bardot
Cara Delevingne

I think its also important to remember the Media is one big Photoshopped marketing machine, and its very easy to get sucked into believing what they want you to.
You are who you are, not what anyone else says you should be!

Strangers!
Sometimes I'll be somewhere and see someone minding their own business who I just think looks amazing! I know its abit weird but I just can't help but stare! They might be really beautiful, or I might adore their hair and makeup, or maybe I just love their style and what they're wearing, but I often find myself being inspired the most by people I don't even know!
I always love it when that happens, I don't know why but it always makes my day that little bit more glittery! I guess I'm just abit weird!
I think I might have waffled a little bit, so sorry about that, but I really enjoyed writing this post!
I would love love love to hear about what inspires you so please leave me a comment down below!

EVERYTHINGS WISHY WASHY!

Hi guys.
I'm just doing an update seen as I have been MIA lately.
These last few weeks have been so stressful, I don't even know where to begin!
So I've started college now, this is the start of my 2nd week, and I'm not too sure how I feel about it just yet, definitely have mixed emotions about it! But it seems alright for now!
I've moved house!
Which is exciting because now I live literally 10 steps away from my best friend, which is any 16 year olds dream! We can talk to each other from our bedroom windows and we always wave at each other ahaha! So thats great but its been so so stressful!
My new house is smaller than my other one but my bedroom is twice the size, not too sure how that works out though!
Recently I've just been feeling really 'wishy washy' about things and just abit 'bleh' about everything, I'm not quite sure whats happening to be honest!
Then on top of that I haven't had internet for 3 weeks! We finally got it all working, I turned my laptop on and it was broken, I was literally heartbroken!
I really want to start doing college OOTD's and mini reviews on things, just quick, easy to read posts.

So I hope you're all well, leave me a comment and tell me what you've been up to! I'd love to hear all about it!

Prom!

Hi guys!
This post is going to be about my prom night!
You get to see my dress and accessories, don't worry I'll be doing a separate post on my makeup so I can go into more detail! You may notice not all of my friends from other pictures were here, unfortunately not everyone could make it but we still really enjoyed it and everyone in my year looked great!

So first off here is my dress!

It was a really light nudey-pink colour, with beaded detail up at the top, one shouldered with a big flower on one side! It was from a little bridal shop near where I live and they have a whole prom/bridesmaid section, it is by the designer Amanda Wyatt and was £210.00

*****
I got my shoes from Dorothy Perkins for £65.00 and they've just reduced them to £25.00 which is really really annoying! They were pretty high but I managed to keep them on all night because I'm usually quite good with wearing heels.
They were a light pinky colour but in the pictures they look more tan. they have a silver heel and a silver platform on the front.

*****
For my jewelry I wore my Tiffany bracelet which was my sisters and my mum gave it to me for my 16th birthday along with my Tiffany double heart necklace which I also got for my birthday. I also wore my sisters engagement ring. I always like to wear something of my sisters on special occasions weather its some of her jewelry or just a squirt of her perfume because I miss her and it makes me feel like she's still around me:)

*****
Lastly the bag I used was one from outfit, some of you may know outfit is a shop that is made up of quite a few shops for example miss selfridge, Topshop, Oasis and Dorothy Perkins just to name a few, I would really recommend checking out one of their stores because I always come out with loads of stuff! Anyway, my bag was from the oasis section and was £25.00 but came up as £15.00 at the till! Love it when that happens! The bag is kind of a pinkey/rose gold colour with a snake skin pattern on the top.

*****
Now here are a few more pictures of the evening, mostly of me with other people so you get to see their beautiful dresses!

From left to right: Sophie, me, Olivia and Laura
